Featured Personal Story:

59 yr old Fireman, Successful Hip Injury Rehabilitation via Rebounder Aerobic Exercise

"Hello,  I received the accessories yesterday and just want to say thanks..."

"Back in June the 8th I fell about 6ft off a fire truck. and landed on my left hip. I broke my pelvic in two places and my hip in two places.  they put 9 screws and a preforaded strap on the break. I could not put any weight or pivit from the hip for 5 months. Then I could start putting 25 per cent of my weight on it every two or 3 weeks.  they would not let me bounce on it  till I could [put 100 per cent of my weight on it and this was 6 weeks.  I started to bounce at that time and it hurt too much, so I started on a exercise ball  (sitting on the ball and bouncing) just a little at a time."

"From there I started to use the rebounder by sitting on it for about 30 seconds at a time. about 6 to 8 time a day.  Each day I could stay on it a little longer at a time. Then I started to kneel on it. After about 2 months I could stand on it but that hurt too. Starting off slow and working up to now (45 min to 1 hr) At first it had to be just a simple bounce with no side motion or pivits. Now,  I can do all that I did before. They drilled a hole in my knee to pull traction and that hurt as much as the actual break did. Now the knee and the hip are just fine. I have returned to work with no restrictions.  It has shocked my doc. and the fire dept."

"They thought that I would be retired out of this injury! I gained about 25 to 30  pounds because of no activity for the 5 months.  Now thanks to the ReboundAIR and exercising I am back to my normal weight!  Most of the time I try to rebound at least  for 30 min. two times a day and 5 to 6 days a week. I have two rebounders, one in the home and one here at the fire house. Some of the guys have started to use it and really like it. Thanks again. Just to finish this up,  I started to rebound when Al Carter came to a Km [Cell Food Related] meeting back in the 80's. I went to S.C. to become a Certified Reboundoloigist. Al Carter and Sylvia were there.  I think that this is my whole story for now, but I will keep you informed of my progress. If you have any questions please e-mail me or call 513-574-XXXX. Tell
Al I said thanks for the rebounder and may God Bless him!"

--Steve

"Just for the record I will be 59 in Aug."

Hi ReboundAIR,

I am travelling around the country performing motivational work in body/brain-enhanced teaching and learning.  Basically, I teach people how cells and systems learn best supported by neuroscience.  I am an avid user of the rebounder and have been developing a sequence of movements that teaches how to improve the vestibular, proprioceptive, interhemispheric and tactile systems through rebounding.  Might you be interested in discussing this and perhaps collaborating?  You can see more about my work on my websites.  I look forward to hearing from you.

All the best in your bouncing,
Jeff Haebig, Ph.D.

Fun, Effective, At-Home Rebound Aerobics Videos... Motivating Club Aerobics Programs... Rebounding on the Best Rebounders Money Can Buy! The Latest: Health clubs nationwide are "going retro" in their trend of writing rebounder mini-trampolines back into their aerobic class schedules. This is a growing fitness industry phenomenon called "Rebound Aerobics." However, in contrast to the trend of the early 80’s, this time nothing but top quality rebounders are making the grade. Imagine class after bouncing aerobics class, day after bouncing day, taking the punishment of multiple enthusiastic users… this equipment must be constructed with spring, mat and frame integrity that only the best materials and metals can provide!

Al Carter, author, lecturer, innovatorWho is the designer of the best rebound equipment?

(I’ll answer this assuming you are like me in that you could destroy a generic sporting goods store brand in less than 12 minutes by jumping like a gorilla. You want this equipment to hold up under any conditions, right?)

With the assistance of his product development team at the American Institute of Reboundology, Inc., Al Carter designed the fitness industry’s top quality rebound exercise equipment. Undeniably, Al Carter is the pioneer and authority of the world rebound industry. His hinge innovations and materials are backed by BYU’s Dept. of Engineering and a spring pre-load test by Geneva Steel Corporation. The mat is none other than Permatron from the Baycor Corporation. The ReboundAIR is the most durable, best-designed rebounder on the planet.

Why "rebound to better health" in the first place?

This safe and effective form of exercise has been confirmed by NASA, the University of Utah, the Hong Kong government (for their police and fire departments), and thousands of people over the years who have received health and wellness benefits. Let’s hear what a few notable sources have to say:

"The minitrampoline [rebounder] provides a convenient form of exercise with a major advantage being its apparent low level of trauma to the musculoskeletal system."
--Journal of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation

"The findings indicate that exercise on a miniature trampoline may provide a safe, adequate indoor exercise for normal and many cardiac patients of varied ages…"
--Journal of Medical Science for Sport and Exercise

"… the magnitude of the biomechanical stimuli is greater with jumping on a trampoline than with running, a finding that might help identify acceleration parameter needed for the design of remedial procedures to avert deconditioning in persons exposed to weightlessness."
--N.A.S.A. report, published in the Journal of Applied Physiology
